The founder

Who actually shows up

Named, checkable, on every engagement

Patrick McGrath, founder of Higher Agency

Before you send money to a firm you found on the internet, you want to know who picks up the work, and whether they have run the thing they are selling you. Most firms answer that with a team page of stock photography. Here is the direct answer.

Higher Agency was founded by Patrick McGrath. He takes the first call, sets the scope, and stays in the room when the design gets decided. He is not a name on a proposal who hands you to a delivery team.

He has led products at PopCap (EA), NaturalMotion (Zynga) and Wooga (Playtika). Plants vs. Zombies 2, CSR Racing, June's Journey. The products he has shipped have earned more than $4 billion in lifetime revenue and reached more than 500 million users.

The credential that matters here

Shipping a product and running an organization are different jobs. This firm sells the second one.

At Wooga he led the June's Journey team. 115 people across product, engineering, design, analytics and live-ops.

That is an org-running credential rather than a product-shipping one, and it is the reason the live-ops work on this site reads specific instead of general. A live-ops calendar is a staffing problem before it is a creative one. Anyone who has carried one knows where the AI actually has to land, and where it will be quietly ignored.

The Berlin studio work at Ten Square Games was a separate build, taken from zero to a running studio.

Alexandria is his too. The 170 agents across 22 teams that run behind every engagement here were built in-house and kept in-house. The moat is that he built it and did not sell it.

What that means on your engagement

I

He is in the work

Discovery, scoping, and the design decisions. Two engagements a quarter is the cap, and it exists so that stays true.

II

He has been on your side of it

He has approved budgets, killed projects, and defended a number to people who did not want to hear it. That is the conversation your AI build has to survive.

  • ROI framing an executive can defend in a board meeting
  • Build, buy, or partner calls made with P&L responsibility
  • Your team owns the result after we leave

Bring the problem, not the brief

If the tools got bought and the number has not moved, that is the call worth having. Thirty minutes, with Patrick, no deck.
